If you live in Yakima you've probably driven through or driven by Linden Way. It's an historic neighborhood and the Yakima Area Arboretum is inviting the community to a garden tour of the neighborhood. Tickets are now on sale for the tour set for Saturday, June 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The tour will give you access to all front and most backyard gardens in the neighborhood. Contact the Yakima Area Arboretum for more information and tickets. A news release from Yakima Valley Tourism gives some interesting details about the area.

"Celebrating its 100th birthday, the Linden Way Neighborhood was named for its mature linden trees (Tilia, also commonly called lime or basswood) that line the 1/4 mile long drive leading to the original Bryant House. Rumor has it that there are over 15 varieties of lindens on this street and that they were originally brought over from Holland, inspiring the famous Dutch signage that greets you as you drive onto the lane."
