Sonic the Hedgehog has been redesigned following fan backlash. In May, Sonic fans were horrified when a trailer for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie revealed a semi-photo-realistic, visually unappealing Sonic design that strayed from the character's signature look. Over the past months, the design team worked to remedy Sonic's look, which can be seen in the movie's new trailer, below.
