Something Interesting Is Going On at the Old Black Angus Location

I drove by the old Black Angus location yesterday (501 N. Front St) and saw that there is construction going on. There was also a sign that a new Mexican cuisine restaurant is being developed.

I have fond memories of the Black Angus restaurant. It was one of the first restaurants I ever visited when I moved to Yakima in 2002, and when my daughter was old enough to sit in a high chair, I took her there for a family dinner.

I loved the Black Angus baked potato, salad, and salmon combo. Their hor d'oeurvres were delectable, too, and the atmosphere and staff were always pleasant, genuine and welcoming. I have great memories of meeting friends there for Happy Hour, too.

Good times.

I sure hope that this new Mexican cuisine restaurant going in the old Black Angus building will have the same sense of the warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere and staff that made Black Angus a hometown favorite (that is sorely missed)!
