Outdoor Summer Cinema Series at Chesterley Park is Back July 11th

Set a reminder in your phone or mark it on your calendar if you love a good movie under the stars. The Outdoor Summer Cinema Series is back with six dates to enjoy beginning Sunday July 11th and wrapping up on Sunday, August 15th. Located at Chesterley Park in Yakima, 40th Ave and River Road.

These are free, family friendly events that are put on for the community to enjoy provided by Yakima Parks and Recreation with each movie beginning when the sun sets each Sunday evening at about 8:30 pm.

You can your bring your lawn chairs, set up blankets and pillows or even innertubes! Bring your favorite snacks or set-up a restaurant order ahead of time and bring and enjoy while you watch. Just please remember to take your trash with you. Chesterley Park has plenty of parking, Fred Meyer and other options for food even nails or car care and ice cream are right across the street. Walk ways to enjoy, the skate park or head to the Greenway for a bit.

Want to or already have a membership to the YMCA? You could get a work-out in before the movie or take the family swimming. Make a whole Sunday of it and I'll keep the ideas coming as we get closer to the dates.
