Have you missed being able to go to a library lately? In the age of Google this and Google that, some of the younger generations may ask, 'Library, what's that?' I remember a time when those hallowed halls provided a welcoming place for reading, learning, and exploring. Well, rest assured, it's still true, and right now, your local libraries are wanting input from you.

In order to help determine which library services they can improve, add, or update, the Yakima Valley Libraries are conducting a customer satisfaction survey through October 24. The Library would like to know what services and resources are the most important to you while their buildings are closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, as well as what services and amenities you are most looking forward to accessing once their buildings reopen.

As a ‘Thank You’ for participating in the survey, everyone who responds will be entered for a chance to win one of three new tablet devices! Limit one entry per person. The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete and will provide invaluable insight into the needs and interests of our service population, including regular library users and non-users, alike.

They've made it really easy to participate, and the survey is available online, in English and Spanish, via the YVL website. Now, if you'd like to opt for a paper copy, they say:

Paper copies of the survey are available at all community libraries using our contact-free pick-up service. Patrons who would like a paper survey should contact their preferred community library.

When things can back to some semblance of 'normal', one of the very first things many people will enjoy is a trip to their favorite library. Perhaps, with your suggestions, it will be a 'new and improved' library.

YAY! Shhhhhhhhh! Sorry.
