It is really sad and unfortunate when "family business" gets spilled out into the public eye. Such was the case last weekend when Texas based gospel superstar Kirk Franklin became a global trending topic after his son Kerrion posted video of the singer "cussing" him out during a phone call.

As normal in today's social media sphere, sides were taken but one thing is clear, this situation has sparked lots of conversation about parenting and religion. Despite it all, Franklin is pressing forward with his music as he's tapped to perform in Matthew McConaughey's benefit concert this weekend along with other Texas stars which you can read more about here.

But before he could move on, Franklin, who has since apologized for his outburst publicly, felt the need to address the situation between him and his son and tell his side of the story. Him and his wife Tammy recently appeared on The Tamron Hall Show for their first interview where the Gospel star shared details about his 20-year-long relationship issues with his 32-year-old son and seeking therapy in an attempt to fix things.

We hope The Franklin Family can resolve their problems, and like all things, it takes time. Keep them in your prayers.
