The Junior League of Yakima non-profit organization of women volunteers recently held a fundraising event at Carey Motors of Yakima (3204 Fruitvale Blvd), and yesterday, a few of the members stopped by with their families* to accept a big fat check for their fundraising efforts!

The "Lincoln's Driven To Give" event asked members of the Junior League of Yakima to recruit family and friends to come in and test drive three of the new Lincoln cars on their lot. For every person that showed up to do a test-drive, the from the Lincoln Motor Company corporation gave Carey Motors a $20 donation to give to the selected cause of their choice. Carey Motors sweetened the deal with a donation match of their own, bringing the grand total of donations to $3500!

I asked the Junior League of Yakima's current president, Dani Austin and president-elect, Ashley Gamache, to tell us what they were going to do with such a large and gracious donation.
