Jacquees brought his King of R&B argument to R&B legend Keith Sweat, and it's safe to say the respected crooner wasn't having it.

Over the weekend (Dec. 15), the Lost at Sea II singer was backstage at V-103's Winterfest concert in Atlanta when he overheard TMZ speaking to Keith Sweat about the King of R&B debate. Before Sweat could get a word in, Jacquees swooped in and continued to spew his claim that he is the current king of rhythm and blues.

"This the king from back then. I'm the king right now," Jacquees told the camera as he dapped up The Sweat Hotel host. "This Keith Sweat. Big Sweat, but it's Big Quee!"

Sweat, who's a veteran top-charting singer, songwriter and producer, gripped the youngblood's shoulder and told the "B.E.D" singer that he's still collecting bags in 2018 from fans of all ages. Jacquees left after maintaining that he's the king of R&B fans age 16-25, but Sweat didn't drop the subject.

Later on, Sweat managed to grab Jacquees again and let him know who the real king of R&B is in front of fellow R&B crooner Tank and Big Tigger. Once the OG put the hammer down, the king of the Queemix instantly offered an apology.

"[Jacquees] ran up on me and said 'I'm the king of R&B 16-25,'" Sweat said while shaking his finger. "So the real and only thing he heard was 'king'... you need to apologize young man."

"I'm sorry," Jacquees replied as the others laughed around him. "My apologies dawg."

The Cash Money singer has been peddling his argument that he's the reigning ruler of the genre since he posted a viral video making the claim over a week ago. Since then, he's received some backlash but he hadn't brought the claim to any of the OG's until now.
