On Thursday, June 11th, Root Biscuit Revival (Americana) is the opening band starting at 6 o'clock, and headliner Aphrodisi-YAKS (Oldies, Country, and Classic Rock) perform at 7.

"From our standpoint, we like to hear local and regional bands...we like to hear a little touch of rock, a little bit of country, a little bit of Pacific Northwest Americana," said Paul Crawford, the Assistant Vice President of Marketing at Yakima Federal Savings and Loan, the official sponsor of the event.

This year, the event returns to historic Front Street, and Curt Wilson, the Executive Director of the Downtown Association of Yakima, told me about the best places to park.

Know Before You Go

PARKING:

"We always get questions about parking and so, we're not too far off North Front Street from the Rotary Market & Pavillion, so there's always parking in there."

Another spot Curt suggested to me was the South Front Street parking lot near the tracks, right across Yakima Avenue.

BEER GARDEN:

The "gates" for the 21+ beer garden opens at 5:30. There aren't physical gates, but that's the time you can start entering the event space on Front Street.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY:

"Bring the family down, and bring a chair!" recommends Curt. "We'll have shade tents out there, and great refreshments!"

FOOD:

Food and non-alcoholic beverage vendors will be on site, so bring money for that if you want to splurge. Some vendors do accept debit/credit cards but bring cash just in case.
