Twilight Director Coming to Seattle SIFF for 15th Anniversary

It’s hard to believe that the first time you laid eyes on the first Twilight movie was some 15 years ago. Time flies, and so does the Cullen Family of Vampires. Bella had to make a difficult choice (not that difficult to me though) between hunky Jacob Black or the guy I like to refer to as “Sullen Cullen.”

When the movie Twilight was released in 2008, I remember a lot of fans being ticked off because of the film’s deviation from the books. They also were livid that Edward wasn't "hot enough" for Bella and that she did Jacob so, so wrong.

I was like, "Hey guys and guyzettes, IT'S JUST A MOVIE!"

I could not have cared less what those movie changes were; I found Twilight to be fascinating from beginning to end. I became an avid fan of all five of the Twilight movies.

Catherine Hardwicke directed the first Twilight movie. It was her choice to cast Kristen Stewart as “Bella”, even though Jennifer Lawrence had auditioned for the part. Superman and The Witcher actor, Henry Cavill, was initially desired by the casting department to play Edward. It was only after a screen test kiss between Kristen and Robert (Pattison) did everyone agree that he could be transformed into a frail and emaciated version of Bella's vampire love interest.
