'Who the F*** Are You!?' The Who Yells and Screams in Epic Seattle Show

Thursday night (September 25th) may have had you watching the Seahawks' away game; however, thousands of fans were in person to listen as the screams of Great Britain echoed in Seattle at night.

British rock legends, The Who, played their set last night in Seattle at the Climate Pledge Arena. The concert kicked off with an introduction about the Who Cares Foundation which both Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend founded. Their beloved organization helps teenagers who are battling cancer.

The Opening Act: Candlebox

The opening act, Candlebox, hails straight out of Seattle. They got their start in 1993, celebrating 32 years of playing rock n’ roll for the masses. Candlebox next played tribute songs of some great musicians we have lost over the years in the grunge rock scene, "with the biggest being the great Chris Cornell", as stated by Kevin Martin, the lead singer of Candlebox.

The Main Act: Highlights and the Lowlights of The Who

After Candlebox hyped the crowd up for the main act, The Who came on stage and played some of their biggest hits like Who Are You, Pinball Wizard, Behind Blue Eyes, & Baba O’Riley. I thought they had some excellent graphics and lights to go along with the show.

The Who seemed to be in high spirits, mentioning to the crowd that newspaper articles had been recently stating they were "too old" to be rocking the way they are.

The band didn't hold back from screaming into their microphones with their hit, My Generation. I felt they delivered an outstanding performance on this song.

At one point during the show, Roger Daltrey was visibly frustrated and appeared somewhat tired as he screamed the high notes. He even walked off stage during a song, leaving the rest of the band unsure if they would be continuing!

However, the show must go on, as they say. Roger came right back toward center stage and powered through the rest of the show, like the legend that he is.

The entire night was full of excitement as the crowd filled the venue and cheered for the artists. Everyone seemed to partake in the community, excitement, and shared passion for a great rock show--something both Candlebox and The Who are very familiar with how to deliver.

48 of the Best Musicians to Have Hailed From Washington State

We all know about the influential grunge scene of Seattle that brought the end of hair metal at the dawn of the 1990s. But did you know even more artists have called Washington home? A lot of these artists come from Seattle but some come from Spokane and even the Tri-Cities.
