Ellensburg Rodeo

Starting in 1923, the Ellensburg Rodeo is a professional rodeo held every Labor Day weekend! The event features over 600 participants in contests such as bull riding and steer wrestling with total prize money amounting to 700,000! Go check it out at the Ellensburg Rodeo Arena held from September 3-September 7.

Yakima Sunfair Parade

Held on September 26th to ring in fair season, the Yakima Sunfair Parade is an annual tradition going back to 1961! The parade begins at 10 AM and heads east on Yakima Avenue from 16th Avenue to Naches Avenue. Expect to see floats, marching bands, community groups, vintage cars, dancing horses and more!

Central Washington State Fair

The Central Washington State Fair will be held at State Fair Park in Yakima and will run from September 25 through October 4. The theme this year is "Honoring Our Past, Growing Our Future" and will celebrate America's 250th anniversary.

So come on out and enjoy thrill rides, agricultural displays, animal exhibits, concerts, and plenty of fair food!

The Prosser Balloon Rally

The Great Prosser Balloon Festival takes place at the Prosser Airport from September 25 to 27. 20 to 30 hot air balloons will cover the sky by day and will light up the sky and synchronize to music on Saturday night. You can check out local food and art vendors while you watch!

Fresh Hop Ale Festival 

Yakima Valley's 23rd annual Fresh Hop Ale Festival will be held October 10th at State Fair Park. The festival celebrates the fact that Yakima is the hop capital of the world and produces 75% of the US hops. You can expect more than 50 breweries, wineries, and cideries competing for your attention!
