If you love wine you'll want to celebrate "Thanksgiving in Wine Country" November 28 through November 30th during the Thanksgiving holiday.

SPECIAL WINE FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS TABLE

Officials with Yakima Valley Tourism say many wineries in the valley will be having special promotions and offerings during the event. They say it's a great time for families to get together and enjoy wine tasting and to stock up on wine for the Christmas table.
Officials say the wineries are busy because not only do local residents take advantage of the event but lot of people from the west side of the state have made it a tradition to travel to the valley for wine tasting after the holiday.

NOT JUST WINE TASTING

Tourism officials say "sip house-made mulled wine, enjoy unique flights and limited release tastings, get creative with cookie decorating and sample sweet and savory pairings crafted just for the holiday weekend." Along with tastings, wineries will offer some fun experiences like cookie decorating and crafted food pairings. Attendees can enjoy delightful holiday treats ranging from pies and artisanal cheeses to "chocolates and savory soups, as well as holiday hors d’oeuvres and innovative popcorn pairings."
