It’s Time To Save Money! Fill The Tank With Cheaper Gas in Wapato

Falling gas prices. Kinda nice right? What's going on? Well prices always drop in the winter when demand is down and prices also fall during an election year.

PRICES KEEP FALLING IN THIS ELECTION YEAR

If you're filling the tank this week you're pumping cheaper gas than last week when prices were down almost 4 cents a gallon in Yakima. Officials at GasBuddy say average gasoline prices in Yakima have fallen 8.0 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.52 down from $3.61 per gallon last week, according to GasBuddy's survey of 91 stations in Yakima.

WHERE DO YOU FIND THE CHEAPEST GAS IN THE STATE? 

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in the valley is Wheeler's Kountry Korner  in Wapato at $2.98 a gallon. Gas is selling for $3.03 a gallon at the Wolf Den in Wapato today. The national average price of gasoline is unchanged from last week selling for $3.90 per gallon.

SPEED PATROLS CONTINUE SO WATCH YOUR SPEED IN YAKIMA

As speed emphasis patrols continue Yakima police are asking drivers to slow down and watch for drivers running red lights but police say the problem continues this year.
During the week of January 28 through February 3 Officers made a total of 890 traffic stops and issued 315 citations.

RED LIGHT CRASHES NEVER STOP IN YAKIMA JUST LIKE SOME DRIVERS

They also investigated 16 collisions with 10 the result of what the city says are "red light violations."
There were 6 red light crashes the week before in Yakima.
11 drivers were arrested for DUI.
