Is California The Safest Place To Be in a Nuclear Attack?
If nuclear war ever happens in America the state of California is one of only a handful of places you might want to be to survive say officials from the National Resources Defense Council.
THE EXPERTS SAY IT DEPENDS ON SO MANY FACTORS IF YOU'D SURVIVE IN CA
They say of course that every state will be impacted and it will also depend upon where the bomb is targeted, the time of year and the size of the nuclear bomb. While Main, Oregon and Western Texas are on the list of the most survivable places Northern California is also a place you may live if a bomb is dropped.
WHY ARE SOME STATES MORE SURVIVABLE THAN OTHERS?
The states are named as places for survival because of the lack of nuclear power plants and large urban centers. Especially Northern California where neither exist. In fact Northern California and Oregon aren't part of a U.S. nuclear target map. While no targets are in Northern California nuclear experts say the state's city of Los Angeles would be targeted and no doubt millions would die.
SO WILL CA BE OKAY IN A NUKE ATTACK ON THE UNITED STATES?
The answer depends on the things we mentioned earlier...where the bomb is targeted, the time of year and the size of the nuclear bomb.
The experts basically say if nuclear war breaks out between the United States and Russia millions of people will die all around the U.S. and no state will be spared death and destruction. But if it's a smaller bomb and more targeted there are places in America where people could survive, like Northern California at least the initial blast.
