Fun fact. I had really wanted to be a cheerleader but didn't want to give-up basketball, doing both wasn't allowed, but I've never stopped cheering for things that I love and you can to. Supporting local events, local students and helping spread the word. This Saturday June 26th, 2021 is that kind of feel good win-win for everyone.

Eisenhower Cheer Booster Club was created by a group of parents who hope to make a positive impact in our cheer program. ECBC’s goals are to increase equity in cheerleading by raising funds to cover the costs associated with cheerleading in Yakima School District, which has been primarily funded by the families of the cheerleaders. ECBC hopes that through it’s 501(C)(3) status, we can come together with our community to make cheerleading financially obtainable to any student who wishes to try out.

Set a reminder on your phone and start checking the couch cushions and pockets in the laundry. Every penny helps raise funds for this talented team, a perfect way to start a Saturday while getting your car to sparkle.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
