Social media can be used for all kinds of disturbing things. People can be incited to riot, spread lies and innuendo, mislead and besmirch, degrade and defame. Side note, I'm glad I got to use besmirch in a sentence. Thankfully, though, social media can also bring people together.

After all, the people we connect with on Facebook, for example, are called 'friends'. That's reassuring. On the 92.9 The Bull Facebook page, we enjoy posting a wide variety of things, most designed to inform and entertain our listeners or 'friends'. It's also a fantastic way for us to provide a forum in which those friends can 'sound off' about a whole host of topics.

We asked this question earlier this week: What would you say to someone to let them know you're from Washington without actually saying it? You could say anything - just not that you were from Washington and you had to believe they'd know where you were from anyway. Here's what people said - some of these had us laughing!
