I'll admit to having lit up when I was a teenager but fortunately for me I never caught the "habit". I do like a cigar from time to time... once a year when I'm in Vegas maybe. As far as cigarettes go however I have never understood the fascination.

Tobacco companies used to hide the dangers and even tried to convince us that it was good for us. "As a dentist, I recommend Viceroy's" according to one magazine ad. Yet another says "More doctors smoke camels than any other cigarette". I wonder how much hush money they had to pay the people we trust our health with.

The photo above is the shrine to ashtrays outside the back door of the radio station. It was recently rained on and it smells AWESOME! It's easy to see why people used to think smoking a stack of these would help you live longer and have nice teeth. Who could even argue? So glamorous!

I know it sounds preachy but if later in life you're hooked up to an air tank sucking wind wishing you could be like the dude riding the bike past your hospital room window, that'll be me... and remember "10 months of scientific evidence" shows that "Chesterfield is BEST for you!"
