Here Are The Top 5 Things Guy Fieri Probably Just Tried At Two Leavenworth Restaurants
What a dream life--to get PAID to go on vacation with your family. That's the kind of livin' I want to experience, man, I'm TELLING YOU! Anyway, I heard that Food Network TV Star, Guy Fieri, and his wife Lori and sons, Hunter and Ryder, hopped in their RV and made an EPIC road trip across America. Word on the street is that they went to TWO (2) restaurants in Leavenworth, Washington. Scroll down to find out where, but FIRST, I bet you I can figure out the top 5 things Guy Fieri probably just tried at both places!
THE BACKSTORY
I saw this article from my friend, Rik Mikals, who works for our Townsquare Media sister station, 98.3 The Key in the Tri-Cities, and in the story he mentioned that Guy Fieri was JUST SPOTTED in Leavenworth filming his new TV show, Guy's All-American Road Trip. Rik mentioned that one of the places the Fieri Family went to was The Gingerbread Factory and 59er Diner. I haven't been to Leavenworth in ages so I am not familar with any names of either of these shops, but now I will add them to my Leavenworth bucket list.
Here Are The Top 5 Things Guy Fieri Probably Just Tried At This Leavenworth Bakery: The Gingerbread Factory (829 Front Street, Leavenworth).
1.
Gingerbread Cookie Houses are the name of the game at this eatery, so I'm sure they probably tasted some of the gingerbread cookies along with the Gingerbread House that they made for the episode.
2.
Banana Bread sold by the slice or the loaf is listed on the restaurant's website. I think Guy Fieri and his family probably asked for the whole loaf.
3.
Espresso: Guy Fieri seems like an espresso kind of guy but maybe he and his wife, Lori, ended up trying one of the chai lattes or blended coffees.
4.
Breakfast: I think the Fieri family probably sampled some of the breakfast sandwiches here like the breakfast croissant.
5.
Lunch: If the Fieris arrived during lunch time, they likely had a BLT Wrap, Bourbon Chicken sandwich, or a grilled cheese sandwich.
The Gingerbread Factory in Leavenworth also provides assorted foods for dinner and desserts, plus they now serve beer, and wine for all those dang tourists.
Here Are The Top 5 Things Guy Fieri Probably Just Tried At This Leavenworth RETRO Diner: 59er Diner (15361 Highway 2, Leavenworth).
Guy Fieri and his family probably sampled one of those 59er Diner old-fashioned handmade milkshakes, Funky Chicken chicken strips, a Frito Pie, a piece of Flo's fresh baked blackberry cobbler, and a bacon cheddar egg stacker sandwich!
I have a Frito Pie Copycat Recipe for you below, but if you've ever wondered what face does Guy Fieri make when he doesn't like what he's eating, watch this video. HAHAHA!
