Is Faith No More’s Musical Return Imminent?
Could we add Faith No More to the list of acts with 2020 music en route? Though the reunited rockers have taken an extended break, their website and social media accounts have all been updated with a cryptic teaser that includes their eight-pointed star log over the top of a snow-capped mountainous backdrop.
The simple message from the band was "psssst," while the primary image now features that mountainous backdrop on their social media. But of more importance is the band's website which now features the image with a countdown clock that is ticking down to what appears to be a Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 26) announcement.
The band's social media accounts have mostly posted in recent months recognizing album anniversaries for the group, with no mention of new music. However, late last year keyboardist Roddy Bottum acknowledged that members of the group had been working on music.
At the time, he stated that it was fair to say they had some new ideas musically that they were working on, adding of their reunion, "I think we all acknowledge that it's not something that any of us wanna turn our backs on, and it's kind of fun to do. So in the hopes of pushing things forward and making new music, we continue to do that, to like get together and make new sounds and just have a dialogue about prospects and songs and where we go in the future."
Be sure to visit the Faith No More website on Tuesday at approximately 2PM ET / 11AM PT to see what announcement the band has in store.
