Don’t Fall For This Fake Number To Check On Your Stimulus Check

There is an old saying - the check is in the mail - well, a new number is circulating about being able to check the status of your stimulus check and we are just warning you - it's bogus!

I fell for it and now I'm warning you about it.

Millions are awaiting their stimulus checks and everyone is anxious to cash and spend them and a phone number is circulating, promising to tell you when your check will arrive.

I'm not sure if it was an April Fool's joke or what but I don't want you to fall for it.

The number is 1-800-746-6373.

I've seen it posted in a Google search and it's really one of those toll-free sex talk lines so if you call it looking for a stimulus check update, you are going to be in for a shock!

I'm not sure why someone thought this was a good practical joke about being "stimulated" but I'd avoid the number.

The IRS has not indicated if you can track your stimulus check as you do for your Federal Tax Returns.
