5.) Eugene

Eugene is a beautiful city in the Pacific North West however, it's also a college town. It's the home to Oregon University, Sco Ducks. With it being a college town you have to be prepared for some mistakes to be made and for people who might be stuck in a loop after finishing college. Sadly the beautiful town has a crime rate of 59.91 above the National Crime Rate average putting it at number 5 on our list.

4.) Astoria

Astoria is a beautiful spot in the pacific northwest and the oldest city in Oregon after being founded in 1811. However, this can't save the city as it has another one of the highest crime rates in the entire country let alone Oregon, this is due to the city's size and the amount of crime that goes down with over 41 crimes reported for every 1,000 people.

3.) Warrenton

Another small city in the beautiful pacific northwest is known for being a great fishing spot, a logging community, and the end of the Oregon Trail. We weren't kidding when we said it was a small town, its population sits at 5,500. Granted it's not the size of the city, it's what goes on in it, with the crime rate being 199.40% above the national average, cementing it at number 3 on our list.

2.) Ontario

No not Ontario Canada, for our out-of-state readers, Ontario Oregon. It sits on the border of Idaho and has a whopping population of 11,645. Granted a small population doesn't mean it's safe, it actually has a crime rate of 176.02% above the national average. It being such a small town means there's a lot of criminal activity within the city limits whether it's residents or tourists.

1.) Portland

The catchphrase is "Keep Portland Weird," but maybe we can clean it up a little bit. Locals and others around the PNW know portland is an amazing and beautiful city, but one that runs into many problems with drugs and homelessness much like Seattle. It is the biggest city in the state with a population of 641,162 and a crime rate of 38,058 for every 100,000 people. That's 138.02% above the national average.
