Lily was born three weeks early at Virginia Mason Memorial's NICU, and she's grown into an adorable 6-year-old with a smile that lights up the whole room. She has Down syndrome, which her mom, Kelly, explains means that Lily's brother "happens to have freckles and Lily happens to have three copies of her 21st chromosome."

Lily is one of the kids who've benefited from Children's Village, where she's received cardiology services and physical therapy. Her family calls Children's Village "their village," but really, it belongs to everybody.

This Friday (Oct. 26), Lily and her mom will be part of Children's Miracle Network's Radiothon, when Townsquare Media personalities will be on News Talk KIT, 1280 AM, asking for donations for 12 straight hours -- from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (listen for Lily at 11 a.m.) We're hoping for whatever help you can give.

Call us at 965-2515 to help out -- or donate online to Children's Miracle Network here. You can even text "KIT Cares" to 51555 on your phone.

Standard Paint & Flooring is again sponsoring the annual Radiothon -- along with Morgan Stanley, Yakima Steak Company, Wilson Irrigation, Key Bank, Steve Hahn Auto Group, Hendo's Accessories, Canopy Country, Stein's Ace Hardware, Stewart Subaru, Wildflower Stylehouse, Chinook Fest, Yakima Sports Center, Pet Pantry and Yakima Federal Savings.
