The tragic death of Charlie Murphy has hit fans and loved ones hard, but most are honoring his life by celebrating his brilliant work throughout the years. The veteran comedian passed away from leukemia yesterday morning (April 12), which led to tons of videos, skits, and footage of Murphy hitting the Internet. DJ Whoo Kid joined in on the tributes to Eddie Murphy's brother by releasing an old interview they did together back in 2011.

Not only did the two talk about his career in comedy, with Charlie sharing some of his signature stories in the industry, but he also spit a hilarious freestyle at the end. Rather than using an artist's beat for the verse, Whoo Kid actually beatboxed an original sound for the comedian to spit over. The freestyle includes some funny references and rhymes, and even a shout out to the Man Vs. Food YouTube channel.

After the news of Murphy's death broke, pretty much all of hip-hop took to social media to pay their tributes. Last night, Dave Chappelle reportedly spoke about the loss of his close friend and comedian colleague by stating, "Today I got some terrible news. My good friend Charlie Murphy passed away this morning, and everybody in comedy is heartbroken."

Watch Charlie Murphy's throwback interview with DJ Whoo Kid below to see the comedian in his element. He starts freestyling around the 10:30 mark.
