Central Washington State Fair Unveils Three More Entertainment Acts

The Central Washington State Fair has announced three more entertainment acts for this fall's fair -- the Temptations will perform Sept. 24, Night Ranger will play Sept. 26 and Creedence Clearwater Revisited will close out the fair on Sept. 28.

The Temptations, who took the country by storm with their first hit in 1964 (Smokey Robinson's “The Way You Do the Things You Do") have recorded a number of Motown standards. Their classics include  “My Girl,” “Just My Imagination,” “Papa Was a Rolling Stone’” and “Treat Her Like a Lady."

Night Ranger are behind such rock anthems as "Sister Christian," "Don't Tell Me You Love Me," "When You Close Your Eyes," "(You Can Still) Rock In America," "Sentimental Street," "Goodbye," "Sing Me Away" and "Four in the Morning.”

Meantime, founding Creedence Clearwater Revival members Stu Cook and Doug "Cosmo" Clifford are the roots of Creedence Clearwater Revisited. The band will perform such favorites as “Susie Q,” “Lodi,” “Proud Mary,” “Down on the Corner,” “Fortunate Son” and “Who’ll Stop the Rain” during their Yakima show.

The three newly announced acts join country's Josh Turner and rapper Nelly, who have already been booked for this year's fair.

General admission seating for the fair's U.S. Cellular Concert Series on the Corona Stage are included with admission to the Sept. 20-29 fair, but a few reserved seats are available for purchase for all shows. Those tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. Friday (May 24) from the State Fair Park Box Office, any TicketsWest outlet or online at www.ticketswest.com. You can also purchase by phone at (800) 325-7328.  Reserved seating does not include admission to the fair itself, though.
