3 Easy Harry Potter-Style Halloween Costume Ideas To Try
I will admit that Halloween is not one of my favorite holidays but that doesn’t mean I don’t like it. I love getting dressed up for Halloween but deciding what my costume is going to be every year has been getting a bit easier than it has been in years past. What’s your Halloween costume going to be this year?
One year I was a Super Mom.
Another year I was a mean princess pirate that made anybody who got on my nerves take the plank.
This year, I wasn’t planning on dressing up until I saw someone dressed as that Harry Potter singing lady who moved in a picture frame on the wall in Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Magic. During my research, I found out her name is “The Fat Lady” and she was featured in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. She is a guard of the Gryffindor Tower.
WARNING: If you are not in House Gryffindor, you won’t know the password, so you may want to skip this next bit and go to the end.
The Fat Lady’s outfit is anything but plain and looks very simple to recreate as a Halloween costume. All I have to do to recreate the Donna Green look for Halloween is wear a long, white robe, put some fake leaves and plastic grapes on my hair and walk around wearing an empty picture frame and drink wine from a goblet. She had me at drinking wine from a goblet!
