It seems that pop-up shops are the new black.

Some of the most recent trends du jour have been "farm-to-table", food trucks, Keto diets, house flipping, and I could go on and on. It seems that "pop-up" stores are the latest craze infecting American culture.

Even celebrities are getting in on the mania. "Sex And The City's" Sarah Jessica Parker is opening her own pop-up shop in New York during Black Friday weekend. Sarah Jessica owns a successful shoe and clothing line, SJP Collection.

Other celebrities who are dialed into the pop-up fad include Drake, the Pet Shop Boys, Kendrick Lamar, Gwyneth Paltrow, Pamela Anderson, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and many more.

Even Yakima had a recent pop-up shop called Urban Kitchen, a collaboration between the Yakima Police Athletic League (YPAL) and celebrity chef Shawn Niles.

I would love to see a chain pop-up restaurant that we don't already have in Yakima (like Cheesecake Factory or PF Changs) or a pop-up gift wrapping store just before Christmas!
