She made me who I am

As the world celebrates this weekend's Women's March, I'm honoring my stepmother. Her strength and compassion made me the man I am today.

A Salute To The Strongest Woman I’ve Ever Known [PHOTOS]

Hundreds of thousands of brave women marched in Yakima and all around the nation in solidarity during Saturday's Women's March. I grew up in a generation long past the days of the women's movement, so it astonishes me that after all these years we still have to have these kinds of demonstrations.

Here are all the towns in Washington state with populations of less than 1,000. How many have you been to?

When I was growing up, my parents never really did too many things that were easy on the dollars. My brother and I always had the best of everything. I guess I was kind of a brat. But the older I have gotten, I look back on some of those things. My father never "took things in" to get fixed by someone else. He could fix anything, so he did it himself. That is one thing he did to save money. I guess that is why my brother and I always had nice things.
