When I think of the name Steven Soderbergh, I think of Julia Roberts. Wasn't she married to him once upon a time?

Other than that, I couldn't tell you ONE movie he has directed but I do know he is a big name in Hollywood. A quick Google search of him shows that he has directed Erin Brockovich (aha, now I see where Julia Roberts hooked up with him), Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve, and Ocean's Thirteen (another movie starring Julia Roberts!), and Magic Mike! I don't even know about any of the other movies he's worked on, I haven't heard of 3/4ths of the movies on this list on his Wikipedia page.

I loved all of the Ocean's movie series the most out of all of Soderbergh's movies. Oh my goodness, do you remember the first one, Ocean's Eleven? It was incredible. I love crime heist movies the most out of any movie drama. Perhaps I was a crimin' diamond stealer in a former life and that's why all of the Ocean's movies appeal to me. When you throw in A-list actors like Bernie Mac (RIP!), Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts, George Clooney, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, you've got me HOOKED DOT COM!

I don't know anything about Stephen Soderbergh's new movie, KIMI, except that one of my favorite actresses, Zoë Kravitz, is starring in it! Zoë was pretty dope in the critically acclaimed TV show, Big Little Lies on HBO, where she played socialite Bonnie Carlson, who gets roped into the accidental murder of her friend Celeste's (Nicole Kidman) abusive spouse, Perry Wright (Alexander Skarsgård).

The premise of this horror thriller, according to Seattle Metropolitan magazine, is that Zoë's character, who has an intense fear of crowds, is a whistleblower and must leave her home and be amongst throngs of Seattle protesters in order to help reveal the truth behind a "violent crime".

During the COVID-19 pandemic in Seattle, an agoraphobic tech worker discovers evidence of a violent crime while reviewing a data stream, and is met with resistance and bureaucracy when she tries reporting it to her company. To get involved, she realizes she must face her greatest fear by venturing out of her apartment and into the city streets, which are filled with protestors after the city council passes a law restricting the movements of the homeless population.

The movie, KIMI, is being filmed in Seattle and Los Angeles. Zoë was recently spotted in L.A. with her hair painted blue for her role. Seattle locations, Westlake Park and on Pine Street between Fourth and Fifth Avenues, were included in the movie shoot, according to a report from the Seattle Times.
