Sweet, soulful sounds will be emanating from the Seasons Performance Hall on this Saturday (July 8) with the arrival of "American Idol's" David Hernandez. If you aren't familiar with David, we've grabbed some facts and music to get you acquainted.

David Hernandez was a part of Season 7 of "American Idol." He was considered to be an early favorite but was eliminated in the top 12 of that season.

David was a young gymnast who won several medals as a kid.

David cites Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Michael Jackson and Peabo Bryson as his musical influences. Randy Jackson commented that David has a "Stevie Wonder" vibe in his music and performances.

David has made the rounds on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," "Today," "TRL" and "Access Hollywood."

David currently has a new song called "Believe" out and has been working on a new album.
