50 Cent’s long-awaited Street King Immortal album might finally be dropping in the fourth quarter of 2017. That’s if you believe the rapper this time.

Fif was recently a guest on Access Hollywood Live where he talked about his wildly successful show, Power. When the topic of music came up, the Queens rap mogul revealed news that should get G-Unit fans excited. “I have a album I been waiting to put out,” said Fif. “It’s coming out at the end of the year. It won’t be as smart as the JAY-Z record. I want to make music that people can have fun to, so you don’t have to stop. You get it immediately without having to sit and analyze it.”

Fif’s mention of Hov’s 4:44 was in reference to his critique of the album in which he said the LP was “golf course music.”

Street King Immortal has been over five years in the making after originally be slated for a 2012 release. The project has constantly been pushed back for varying reasons. In 2014, Fif dropped the album, Animal Ambition.

Last December, 50 said he wants to retire from rap after the release of SKI. “I want to finish with that project,” he told Muscle & Fitness magazine. “I don’t want to write another record after that. You know how some artists got to have confirmation that they’re right. I have that confirmation in fucking 35, 40 million [albums] that I already sold.”

If he does retire following Street King Immortal, he has plenty of other ventures to keep him busy and the money rolling in.
