How does that old school song by Calloway go? "I want money, lots and lots of money...so don't be asking me why. I wanna be RICH!"

The richest town in Washington state is Clyde Hill!

The city of Clyde Hill, Washington, has a big reputation for people with big wallets. I bet they wipe their tears with their stock options. Anyway, Clyde Hill was named the richest city in the whole state of Washington back in 2014 by Slate magazine. It has been a town since 1953, after some wealthy landowners divvied up their property and sold them as individual lots in 1946. According to the 2010 Census listed on Wikipedia, the resident demographic of Clyde Hill these days is mostly White and Asian; hardly any Black or Latino residents call the town of Clyde Hill their home, which is rather enlightening to me. (That's another story for another day!)
