Ballots for the general election will be sent to Yakima County Voters...October 18.

Not everyone is voting in the election only those areas with contested races or other issues on the ballot. 63,000 ballots were sent to voters last week.

Ross expects a 50 to 55 percent to be returned to the auditors office by the day of the November 8 general election.

There's no deadline and you can register on the day of the election and vote.
