The Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice says the body is that of 17-year-old Samantha Kalinchuk of Spokane.

Detectives say the body was found outside a home in the 600 block of Farm Lane at about 3:30 pm Sunday.

Tuesday was election day in the Mabton, Selah and HIghland School Districts

The Yakima County Auditors Office has sent out 17,000 ballots for the Tuesday special election. Voters in Mabton, Highland and Selah are being urged to fill out ballots and return them to the auditors office by 8:00 pm Tuesday.

Deputies say they were called to the 5300 block of Sunnyside Mabton Road where they found a 30-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound.

Sunnyside Police were called to Sunnyside Astria Hospital after the two men were taken to the hospital in private vehicle.
