A city press release says those residents who live in the area "from East R Street to East Yakima Avenue and between Front Street and North 10th Street can participate

Yakima County was awarded a total of $48 million in ARPA funding and received over 150 community proposals.

Plans for transporting the tree to Downtown Yakima are subject to change dependent on weather and equipment.

So look outside or talk to someone you know who may want to donate a tree.
