Don't look now, but the Seattle Mariners are now at .500 on the season, tied with their AL West rival and defending World Series Champion Houston Astros 17-17.

The M's just returned from a lengthy road trip, sweeping another American League West foe Oakland A's, and hosted Houston for a three-game series at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.

Seattle Mariners Win 2 out of 3 vs Houston Astros

The series kicked off Friday night in Seattle, and the Astros came away with the W by a score of 6 to 4. Saturday was a different story, as the Mariners exploded for 7 runs in the 8th inning which was enough to hold off the defending world champs, winning 7 to 5.

Sunday's match-up would determine the winner of the series, and with a Seattle win, the M's would move into a tie in the AL West with the Astros, to be just 3.5 games behind division-leading Texas Rangers. The Mariners pulled it off and won the rubber match 3 to 1. They'll next host those division-leading Rangers for a three-game homestand starting Monday. The first pitch is at 6:40 pm.
