
Yakima Museum Lights Up December With Festive Holiday Displays
The Yakima Valley Museum has been a staple location in Yakima for several years. It's fun to visit and see the displays of Yakima's history, learning about Mt. St. Helens, seeing the old neon signs that used to light up Yakima Avenue, seeing old cars and equipment used by the farmers and folks of the Yakima Valley. There's always reason to visit the Yakima Valley Museum.
In the month of December, the Yakima Valley Museum features some fantastic Christmas activities that is sure to put you and your family in the Christmas mood.

The Yakima Valley Museum is hosting the Annual Holiday Lights Display. You can visit the music from December 2nd through December 27th to see more than 25 decorated trees all from local nonprofits.
You can then vote for your favorite by purchasing tickets with all proceeds benefiting the nonprofits who are a part of this fun event.

Additionally, this year they're starting a new special event called Holiday Fun & Stories with Mrs. Claus. This is happening Thursday, December 4th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a holiday scavenger hunt, light displays, take photos in a one-horse open sleigh, and have Mrs. Claus read you stories. Admission for this is just $5 each. Free for museum members and children under 5.
