Yakima has no lack of burger places and it never has.

Growing up in Yakima there have been several places to grab a burger. One of my favorites when I was younger in the '80s was Burger Ranch.

From the familiar logo to the multiple options on the menu to amazing shakes, you could never go wrong.

And who could forget the familiar commercials when they'd come on TV.

Gotta love it when Bob Clem would appear in these commercials. To me, Bob Clem was just as much of a celebrity as anyone else I'd see on TV.

As the years went on and my favorite Burger Ranch on 15th and Nob Hill closed down with their amazing arcade in the back, it's a place I have fond memories but just don't visit as often as I should.

So, let's fix that.

I stopped by the Burger Ranch on Summitview for the first time in probably 10 years.

I was greeted as I have in the past with a large selection to choose from.

I was ordering for a few people. My kid wanted the mushroom burger, we grabbed a ranch burger and we also got the chicken strips.

Upon getting our order, the first thing I had forgotten was the amount of fries you get. No need to order extra, the single-serving fries is already large enough.

And don't forget the fry sauce.

The chicken strips are gigantic, too. So if you have kids who love chicken strips I think they'll be surprised by the shear size of them.

But with a name like Burger Ranch, it's all about the burgers. And there's a reason why Burger Ranch is still in business here in the Yakima Valley.

Three locations in the area, at 911 Summitview, on South 1st in Yakima and they have a great location in Selah as well.

If it's been a minute like it had been for me, swing by sometime and grab a burger or even breakfast. Or one of their many flavors of shakes. There's always reason to pop in a Burger Ranch.
