The Washington Hair Trend Taking Over Fall Is the Bob
The first day of fall means a fresh set of fashion looks are officially in season. While cowgirl chic was the look of the summer, the look of the fall means a return to preppy clothes and hair. When it comes to the most requested hairstyles this fall, let's welcome back our old classic and timeless friend, the bob!
When fashionistas and celebrity stylists want to see what "look" should be "in" each season, you can bet that Washington State is one of the places they scout. We've put trends on the map since the 90s, after all. Our grunge looks became the most popular aesthetic of the decade. (Grunge is now back in style, according to my 14-year-old.)

Celebrities from WA State Help Set the Fall Fashion Tone
Singer Brandi Carlile (Ravensdale, Washington) is rocking the bob already. Brandi was recently spotted at the Americana Music Awards with a shaggy, layered ombre look. Her bob is framed by a soft chestnut brown color that matches her eyebrows, and her ends have been lightened to a vibrant blonde.
Let's see what other hairstyles Washington celebrities have been rocking within the past couple of weeks as we head into Autumn.
Jean Smart
Jean Smart (Spokane, Washington) won an Emmy last week! She rocked a savvy sandy blonde layered pixie cut with soft tendrils around her forehead to accentuate her oval-shaped face.

Rainn Wilson
Rainn Wilson (Seattle) was noticeably seen at the U.S. Open cheering on his favorite players and sporting the dapper look this fall. He is wearing a silver goatee that frame the chin on his oval-shaped face.
His sunglasses looked cool, with transparent colored frames, and he kept his look sporty with a navy blue newsboy cap that complimented his navy blue blazer.
Dove Cameron
Dove Cameron (Bainbridge Island, Washington) went to the world premiere of the new Warner Bros. movie One Battle After Another. Dove looks ready for the fall with her walnut brown colored hair. On the red carpet, she wore her hair parted in the middle with long side bangs to frame her diamond-shaped head. The rest of her hair was sleeked back into a low ponytail.
She complimented hair hair color with a muted mauve lip and dark lip liner to accentuate her full pout.
Kyle MacLachlan
Kyle MacLachlan (Yakima, Washington) was spotted on the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. He kept his latest outfit preppy, yet casual, and his hairstyle was simple, with a modern clean cut that reveals his forehead and clean-shaven look.
I swear that man doesn't age; some are saying his hair style has turned him into Silver Fox territory.
Sydney Sweeney
Sydney Sweeney (Spokane, Washington) was a presenter at the Emmys this year. She went for a 60s glamour girl look on the stage.
She wore her her long, straight, and beige blonde. Her tresses had peek-a-boo feathered layers hitting just below her eyes to accentuate her cheekbones, oval face, and long neck.
