When people travel through Yakima Valley, there are certain food stops that they have to visit along the way. They are eateries with menus and customer service that goes above and beyond the norm. They have become a part of the food fabric of our Valley and with so many businesses closing these days, it would be heartbreaking for us to see them go away.

The Yakima Valley Spots Locals Can’t Bear to Lose

We would lose our minds if any of these restaurants (in the gallery below) ever closed. Some of them are newer to the foodie scene, others are legacy restaurants that have been around for a long time. Either way, they better not close - ever! It would be devastating for the local foodies.

Black Angus, three Taco Time locations in Yakima, plus the Burger Ranch on South 1st Street are some of the most beloved locally owned restaurants that folded rather abruptly. Excuse us while we foodies pour one out for the homies.

Since 901 Pasta closed, two other restaurants have filled its spaces, and when El Porton in Union Gap burned down, the whole city (and some nearby) were sad about it nearly two years later!
