I guess I don’t know what Teriyaki is. Weirdly, I’m just now realizing it, especially being an overweight guy who loves chicken teriyaki. As my wife & I were discussing our dinner plans and meal prepping for the next week, the topic of Teriyaki came up. I don’t want to get into how dumb I was and how confusing I made our conversation, but let’s just say, between my wife and Wikipedia, I now know more about Teriyaki besides the fact that it’s delicious.

According to Wikipedia, “Teriyaki is a cooking technique used in Japanese cuisine in which foods are broiled or grilled with a glaze of soy sauce, mirin, and sugar.” I do not know why it didn’t dawn on me that it would be how the food was prepared versus the type of food it was. As I said, I can be dumb. I know I’m not the only one, so hopefully, that little bit of info enlighted you as it did for me. The most important part, it tastes great, and we have the top places in Yakima where you can score some delicious Teriyaki.
