Get An Adorable Family Member! Yakima Humane Society Adoption Event This Sunday!
You don’t rescue the pet; the pet rescues you. That's the old saying, and for my wife and I that is absolutely true. I'm not sure if my little dog Rusty is technically a rescue, but who knows what his life would have been like if he didn't run and jump on me at a park during a wedding rehearsal. His owners came up to me as I was holding and petting him, and apologized, and told me how they were looking for a new home for him. 10 Years later, my wife and I can not imagine our lives with out him. He's really changed our whole world. The same joy can happen to you.
The Yakima Humane Society is holding a Puppy Adoption Event! This time around, it’ll be on Sunday (March 12th) from 10 am to 4 pm.
Puppies will be up for adoption, ready to go home with a new forever family, some pictures of the lil ones can be seen at the Yakima Humane Society's Facebook post. The event is focusing on puppies, but if you’re looking for a pet with a little less training needed, I’m sure they can accommodate.
Yakima Has A Pet Emergency Room!
If taking a new family member home isn’t ideal for you at this time, you can still help out. The Yakima Humane Society is always welcoming help in form of food, toy, and other supplies. For more information about what is needed, click here. And if you’re not in a place where you can financially help out, they can always use volunteers. For more information on volunteering, check out YakimaHumane.org.
