The Yakima Health District, in partnership with the Downtown Association of Yakima and Nuestra Casa is offering two free bilingual workshops designed to support local food vendors preparing for the upcoming event season.

THE WORKSHOPS HELP VENDORS MEET HEALTH REGULATIONS

The first workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3 providing valuable guidance to vendors looking to operate safely and successfully. According to a press release from the district the interactive sessions will feature mock vendor setups, presentations from food safety inspectors, and hands-on guidance to help vendors meet inspection requirements.

TWO FREE SESSIONS IN YAKIMA AND SUNNYSIDE

All who attend will also receive information on how to apply for a food permit to comply with local health regulations.

The workshops are scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, June 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Rotary Pavilion, located at 15 W Yakima Ave.
Wednesday, June 10, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Nuestra Casa, 301 S 7th St, Sunnyside, WA.

The sessions aim to allow food vendors with a better understanding of permitting requirements and food safety regulations, coupled with practical, hands-on guidance to operate temporary food booths safely and effectively.
Vendors interested in participating are encouraged to attend the free workshops.
