If you're already making plans for a spring and summer of fun in the Yakima valley the folks at The Farmers Almanac says you can plan for great weather. They say April and May will be warmer and slightly wetter than normal, on average. In a nutshell the almanac says;
Summer in Washington State will be warmer and wetter than normal. The hottest periods will be in mid- to late July and early August.

A COOLER SPRING AND A HOT SUMMER ON THE WAY

Specifically for Yakima the almanac says "April and May will be cooler than normal, with above-normal precipitation, on average. Summer will be slightly cooler than normal, with rainfall above average in the north and below normal in the south. Just like the forecast for the state the hottest periods in Yakima will be in mid- to late July and early August.

SUMMER ARRIVES IN LATE JUNE

September and October will be cooler and drier than normal, on average.
