In just a few hours, the YWCA will host a family-friendly event geared especially for children: Kids Around The World.

The goal of this event is to have a fun setting where kids can learn all about games played by children in different cultures.

We have so many cultures of people living in the city of Yakima and rarely get opportunities to celebrate our differences that somehow show that we are all alike in many ways! That's what makes living in this country such a joy--it is a true "melting pot"! This event is a collaboration of the YWCA Social Justice Committee, Yakima Parks and Recreation and Casey Family Programs.

Where: Franklin Park, 2101 Tieton Dr., near the Rotary Pavillion

When: 6:30p.m. - 8:30p.m.

Why: There will be games, activities, crafts and prizes. Come play and learn about family games from other cultures.
