If your spouse voted for a political candidate you disliked, would you move out?

McCormick, who is 73 years old, recently separated from her husband because he said he was thinking about voting for Donald Trump in November's presidential election. Her husband didn't vote for Trump in the end, but Gayle still left him and moved to Bellingham, saying, "When things are 51 percent good and 49 percent bad, you just stay. I was tired and older and I didn't want to argue and neither of us was going to change."

I'm guessing this isn't the only election-related breakup: Some 16 percent of people polled by Reuters — including 22 percent of Hillary Clinton supporters — said they had stopped talking to a family member or close friend because of last fall's election results.

Would you dump your spouse over politics?
