Whoopi Goldberg Defends Tiffany Trump: ‘I’ll Sit With You’
If you thought the crowd at Philipp Plein's NYFW show had it bad for having to wait over an hour for Madonna to arrive, Tiffany Trump—the other daughter of Donald Trump—reportedly can't even get anyone to sit next to her.
"You know what, Tiffany, I’m supposed to go to a couple more shows. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m coming to sit with you," Whoopi declared. "Because nobody’s talking politics. You’re looking at fashion! She doesn’t want to talk about her dad! She’s looking at the fashion!"
While Goldberg has been a vocal detractor of Tiffany's controversial father, the actress-comedian urged that there is a difference between those boycotting Ivanka's products (which received an unprecedented plug from Kellyanne Conway on national television) and NYFW attendees openly shunning Tiffany at fashion shows.
"People say, 'What is the difference between people boycotting Ivanka?' There is a difference," Whoopi said, explaining, "That’s all about buying stuff. You’re buying stuff. This girl is looking at fashion, and she’s just looking at fashion."
"I don’t want to talk about your dad, but, girl, I will sit next to you," she promised. "Because I’ve been there where people said, 'We’re not going to sit next to you.' I’ll find your ass and sit next to you!"
Whoopi, however, isn't the first person to stand up for Tiffany amid reports of bullying.
