Actress and comedienne Tiffany Haddish has been tapped to host the MTV Movie and TV Awards this year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Haddish made the announcement via an IG video. This latest news comes on the heels of an announcement that Netflix will be airing a new animated project on which Haddish will serve as a voice for one of the lead characters.

Haddish has been super busy since her star turn in the summer blockbuster, Girls Trip, and her run on Jerrod Carmichael's series, The Carmichael Show. She'll also star alongside Tracy Morgan in TBS' The Last O.G. and opposite Kevin Hart in Universal's Night School.

Additionally, Haddish has signed on to star in New Line Cinema and DC Entertainment crime thrillerThe Kitchen. The project, which is currently is pre-production, also stars fellow comedian Melissa McCarthy.

As for her hosting gig, the show has previously been hosted by Kevin Hart, who shared duties with Dwayne Johnson; Amy Schumer; Conan O'Brien; and last year's host, Adam Devine.

The 2018 MTV Movie and TV Awards will air on Monday, June 18 at 9 p.m.
