Out at my place is this tree that has long been void of leaves as most have fallen. I say most because, if you look near the top to the right, there are still about five or six leaves that have stuck to the tree, no matter how hard the wind blows, no matter how cold it is. They're holding on. For what, I don't know.

I see these leaves every day and they remind me that everyone knows someone like this. No matter how hard it is (whatever it happens to be), they hold on.

It also reminds me of people who, long after everyone else has jumped the bandwagon, they stay back as they know it's just a trend and they know good things will come around again.

These leaves crack me up. I hope they stay up all season.
