Just a little over three weeks in to 2021 and we already have our first event casualty in the Yakima Valley for 2021 -- Selah Community Days has officially been cancelled.
Selah Community Days has brought some fun things these past few days: the carnival, the parade, the amazing Hobo Feed and more. The last stop is the Armed Forces Appreciation Ceremony at noon, Sunday (May 21).
The parade was fun, the music's great and that lemonade really hit the spot. But now that you're full of hot dogs, tacos, potatoes and Hobo Feed food, it's time to wander around the park and hit the carnival at Selah Community Days!
After a military chopper flyover to get things started, you wouldn't have thought Saturday's (May 20) Selah Community Days parade could go much higher.
But you'd have thought wrong.
The way Selah does it, being a hobo doesn't seem all that bad. In fact, if you sidled up to one of those tables in the parking lot of the Selah Civic Center for Thursday's Hobo Feed, you might've been tempted to abandon all responsibility, hit the road and seek a more carefree life.
(OK, maybe that's just us.)
Selah Community Days is back this week (May 18-May 21), and you don't want to miss any of the action. It is always such a fantastic time. Kicking it off is the excellent Hobo Feed at the Selah Civic Center, 216 S. First St.
